The Tapestry Conference is seeking two enthusiastic, self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented underemployed teachers* to coordinate the 2026 Conference. The conference will be held on February 13, 2025, online and at Belmont Secondary. The successful candidates will share up to 30 paid 1.0 FTE days.
*Each successful candidate must be an under-employed teacher (part-time or TTOC) who is a current member in good standing of the Cowichan Valley, Greater Victoria, Saanich, or Sooke teachers’ association.
The Co-Coordinators will be responsible for:
Coordinating the in-person and online conferences, including collecting workshop and exhibitor proposals, scheduling, preparation, set-up, day-of, clean-up, and post-conference wrap-up.
Setting up and managing the online registration platform.
Booking and professionally communicating with presenters, exhibitors, and registrants.
Reporting to and collaborating with the Tapestry Committee and the GVTA accounting clerk.
Attending all Tapestry Committee meetings.
Managing the conference budget, accepting exhibitor payments, and overseeing the payment process.
Strong knowledge and ability to work with technology, including, but not limited to, online registration platforms, Zoom, graphic design software, spreadsheets, and more.
Other duties as assigned and required.
